    • Landscape mode will swap the paper width and paper height.

    • Shift right and Shift up will move the paper away from the center of the work area. Rotate will turn the paper counter-clockwise.

    • Margin % creates a safe border around the edge of the paper.

    • Paper color does exactly what it says.

  3. Edit pen opens the pen settings dialog. Diameter tells the app the size of your pen tip. This is used by the app to tell how far apart lines should be. Makelangelo 5 includes a Sharpie marker which has a tip diameter of 0.8mm

    • Optimize will try to reorder the lines for more efficient drawing; try to remove duplicates; try to reduced the amount of travel time; and generally work to make your drawing go faster. Simplify works in a similar way, with different effect. Simplify is much faster to run.

    • Rotate will turn your art without moving the paper or the robot.

    • Scale to width will make your art touch the left and right sides of the paper. Scale to height will make your art touch the top and bottom of the paper.

    • Center will put your art back in the middle. Crop will throw away any lines that are not on the paper.

  7. Robot lists your 10 most favorite plotters for quick selection. In this example there are already a few machines of different types, each with nicknames for convenience. Manage plotters is where you can add, remove, and customize your plotters. Hover your cursor over fields in the Settings panel to get more information about what these values do.

    • Closing the Drive plotter dialog will hang up the phone, disconnect the robot, and stop any drawing in progress.
